Websites - Professional or Home Grown

Merical Marketing Communications started in 1999 - serving small businesses and non-profits.  All companies that couldn't afford the high prices of the major website companies.  We take pride in providing sites at 1/4th the average price of creating a site.

In the beginning - websites were all over the place.  They had cute moving clip art images.

Then the experiments started with menu placement and color schemes.

It's now standard to have your main menu on the left side, a small key menu at the top and another small menu at the bottom of each page.

Website need:

  • Continuity
  • Clear message
  • Menus on every page
  • Clean and Neat appearance
  • Be easy to maneuver around
  •  Easy to read
  • Be Organized

I heard a story once about a guy who sold a product that he loved.  Friends convinced him to create a website.  It was filled with all kinds of errors - especially misspellings.  What turned out to be to this man's benefit, he was a better seller than his website.  So, when people would call him with suggested website corrections, he would sell them his product.  His friends told him he needed to update his, he did and all those calls stopped and so did his sales.

The above story isn't to tell you to fill your website with misspellings but to ensure it sells either as good as you do or better.

When we take on a client, we make sure the client's voice is heard throughout the website.

We provide a lot of information and education to ensure your website has a professional standing, great ratings, straight message, etc.  But in the end, the website says what the owner wants.

Just keep in mind - A website is your liquid bulletin board on the Internet.  Make sure your message is clear and speaks for you in the right voice.
